Founded and operated an excavation, drainage, property-service, and winter-operations business while continuing an engineering career. Operating the business firsthand exposed the workflow problems — paper logs, text messages, and disconnected spreadsheets — that later inspired custom software projects.

Bobsey SR-7 D Sports Racer · SCCA Club Racing · 2006–2014
Supported an SCCA club-racing program campaigning a Bobsey SR-7 D Sports Racer, a lightweight sports-racing prototype in the former D Sports Racing category. Direct exposure to race-weekend preparation, vehicle inspection, mechanical troubleshooting, setup changes, paddock operations, and teamwork under time pressure.
A volunteer club-racing role — not a paid professional racing-engineer or crew-chief position.
